I believe that women can and will change the world.
Women and Social Impact
The world is changing fast and and social impact is front and center. More than ever we are faced with the realities of racial inequities, gender inequities, economic inequities, ageism, the global pandemic and the climate crisis to name just a few. The Dalai Lama has said that, "The world will be saved by Western women." I would rephrase that to say that, "The world will be saved by women." Most recently we saw that the countries that fared the best during the pandemic are lead by women. We have an abundance of research evidence showing that organizations that have more women in the C-suite and on their boards perform better. There is so much work to be done and so many opportunities to contribute. What it means to be a 21st century female leader is to have an awareness of and intentionality around diversity and inclusion and social impact in the spheres of gender equity, racial equity, age equity, and economic equity.
What vision do you have for your influence as a 21st century leader? What changes do you wish to make in your organization? In your community? In the world? What impact are you itching to have? What call do you feel compelled to answer to? What small steps can you take to make that happen? This is our time as women to change the world.
