COVID-19 MESSAGE

This is a strange time, the strangest I have ever experienced. How are you doing? Really, how are you doing? I hope, very deeply, that you and yours are well.

By now you may have settled into some new routines. If you have children at home, maybe you have set up study times. Perhaps you have set up regular meeting times with team members. Hopefully, you have created ways of checking in with friends and relatives on a regular basis. Zoom has taken on a whole new meaning for me and everyone else I know.

Make self-care a priority - this is a true put-your-own-oxygen-mask-on-first moment. You always have others depending on you. This is likely that dependence on steroids - family, team members, boss. Set good boundaries. Make sure to eat well, get enough sleep, get exercise and if you don’t already have a meditation practice in place, now is the time to create one.

This is also a time that may give rise to deep reflection. In midlife, we are already inclined toward self-reflection and in this cultural, this profound humanitarian moment we are driven deeper to explore questions of survival - survival of our business, our career, our community. And, most profoundly the very survival of our lives and those of our family and friends.

You may be pondering a new approach to your business, your role in your company, your role in your community. You may be pondering your life purpose.

How are you doing emotionally? Are you stressed out or anxious? Are you feeling depressed? Many people are having a lot of mixed feelings during this challenging time. It is pretty common and a normal reaction.

Let me know how I can help you.
