Parea - Let's Talk Menopause!
A Gathering for Support and Conversation
Parea is a Greek word meaning a group of friends who regularly gather together to share their experiences about life, their philosophies, values and ideas. This group provides a supportive environment for sharing your experiences of being in midlife and dealing with symptoms related to menopause, to ask questions, and to learn about ways of coping with symptoms in your life in general as well as in a work setting even when working from home. It is also a place to talk about being a woman in midlife and experiencing this incredible rite of passage that ushers us into the wonderful and exciting next stage of our lives.
Menopause has been a taboo topic too long and it is about time that we have the opportunity to share openly about our experiences! Parea is a place to to learn about menopause, ask questions, and share coping skills in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
Many women don't have a lot of information about what happens in menopause and how do deal with the many symptoms. They have questions like, "What is perimenopause?" "How long does it last?" "What are all the symptoms of menopause?""How can I deal with menopause symptoms when I am working?" There is a lot of information on the internet and it isn't always easy to tell what is accurate. Find out here where to get the best up-to-date information and get practical tips and coping strategies. Plus we all need to be in a community of supportive women when we are facing something that is challenging!
Parea meets monthly via Zoom on the first Wednesday evening of the month at 6:30pm Pacific Time. The meetings will vary in length depending on how many women are at a given meeting but will not be longer than 90 minutes. There is a nominal charge of $10.00 per meeting. You can register here!
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
